We will accept letters from conductors, stage directors, opera company directors, or the artistic director of a company apprentice, studio, or other Young Artist Program. Letters from teachers, coaches, and managers will not be accepted

You may supplement your proposal with press materials, links to personal or artist management websites, YouTube videos, and recordings. However, if your grant proposal is advanced to the Board of Directors, these items will not substitute for an in-person audition when considering your application.

* Three letters of recommendation from professionals in the classical music business are required referencing your professional experience. We will accept letters from conductors, impresarios, general directors or artistic directors of an opera company or symphony orchestra who have worked with or heard the applicant conduct in at least one full-scale opera performance, choral work with orchestra and soloists, or a symphonic work with an orchestra and soloists. Letters from prior teachers or personal managers will not be accepted.
